materials //clipped overlay photo collage from digitized old magazines and family photos. In the end, no actual portraits were used. Each portrait was matched with a concept, from their I used light and shadow to pair appropriately to clip, leaving only the science image on the page.
concept //remixing the term ‘social science’.  Each images takes a personality and pairs it with a science or scientific concept. No. 12, for instance The Metaphysics of Identity Over Time, clipping and erging a series of my Aunt’s portraits from grade school, with other pieces that I both identify with her and with the concept. This tells a multi-leveled story. No. 6 Spiderflake is a little different, but think about it for a bit, and you’ll get it.
